Welcome to Intersections Festival, Washington, D.C.’s premier celebration of the performing arts. Each year, we transform the Atlas Performing Arts Center into a vibrant hub where artists, audiences, and communities come together to experience the power of creative expression. Founded in 2010 by Jane Lang, Intersections Festival has evolved into a dynamic platform that showcases diverse voices and groundbreaking performances across multiple artistic disciplines.

With a lineup featuring over 500 artists and more than 35 performances, our festival spans theater, dance, music, storytelling, and innovative collaborations that push the boundaries of performance. Under the artistic direction of Mary Hall Surface, Intersections Festival is a space where ideas flourish, perspectives are challenged, and the arts serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue and cultural exchange.

At its core, Intersections Festival is about inclusivity, accessibility, and the transformative power of the arts. We are committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and fostering a collaborative environment where both emerging and established artists can shine. Set against the backdrop of the Atlas Performing Arts Center, a cornerstone of D.C.’s cultural scene, the festival is more than just an event—it is a movement that celebrates artistic expression and human connection.

Join us for the 2025 Intersections Festival, running from February 15 to March 16, and immerse yourself in an extraordinary month of performances, storytelling, and community engagement. Whether you are an artist, an art enthusiast, or someone seeking new experiences, we welcome you to be part of this inspiring celebration.
